Description: A weekday round of golf for four, including golf carts.  Claremont Country Club, with gorgeous and sweeping views of San Francisco, the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges, was founded in 1897. Alister Mackenzie redesigned the course in the early 1900s. Sam Snead, who still holds the record for the most PGA wins, won his first PGA event at Claremont in the 1937 Oakland Open with a plaque commemorating this at the Country Club. Multiple champions of the U.S. Open, Open Championship and PGA Championship were once teaching pros at Claremont (Jim Barnes, the Smith brothers. ).
